GUIDELINES FOR PRESENTATION PARTICIPANTS A technical presentation is a technical paper presented through a PowerPoint presentation and any visual displays. After presenting, attendees are will have the opportunity to ask questions to clarify the presentation further and to gain more knowledge. THE REGIONAL/NATIONAL TECHNICAL PRESENTATION COORDINATOR WILL FURNISH THE FOLLOWING: - computer, projector, screen, table for visual aides. PRESENTERS MUST FURNISH THE FOLLOWING: The PowerPoint presentation should be on the communication medium specified by the competition coordinator. The presentation should be sized and lettered so they are legible and readable by judges. They should be relevant and well-labeled. The research presentation will include information such as objectives, procedures, data, results, concluding remarks and future work. Hand-outs are highly recommended to be given by the presenter (you will be scored on whether or not you provided handouts.) It is recommended that the speaker not rely on the presentation to communicate ideas.
Presentation Time Limit: 20 mins. (10 minute presentation; 10 minutes question & answer/scoring period) Please keep to your time limit and be prepared to answer questions about your abstract and presentation. *****If you place 1ST, 2ND, or 3RD, please complete the Competition Winners Information Sheet.
